At Peaceful Media I was hired to developed a custom WordPress theme and plug-in(s) to give the client a revitalized look, and optimize performance in both the front and back end, allowing for not only a better visitor experience, but it also streamlined content management for the site owner. In my daily tasks I utilized HTML5, CSS3/SASS, jQuery, and PHP to customize and consolidate the CMS content to deploy site wide in multiple locations. I used a Node based workflow consisting of Grunt as a task runner and Sass as a CSS pre-processor along with other NPM modules for tasks and optimizations.

MacMD contacted me to create a simple straight to the point site to replace their old Flash site. They wanted an extremely mobile friendly site keeping the page count to a minimum with ability to edit all content (colors, images, and backgrounds). Using WordPress I built a custom theme utilizing Bootstrap framework to accomplished just that. While this site is currently live we are in the process of still adding new features… So I guess this is kinda a work in progress.

Aluminati Guitars wanted a site to showcase and sell their custom hand built aluminum guitars. Some of the features they wanted included: The ability to edit copy, the ability to add new guitar models, parallax home page, shopping cart, and a blog. After we finalized a design we decided on using WordPress for the blogging capabilities, and the fact that they already had a WordPress site. I built them a custom Bootstrap theme utilizing ScrollMagic.js to create a parallax home page and Cart66 plugin for the shopping cart.

While working at Modern Luxury a marking campaign was created to help introduce two new Blackberry devices on the Verizon network. With the help of celebrities and a charity of their choosing we pit them against each other to help them win $10,000 for their charity. This campaign ran across three major cities: Los Angeles, San Fransisco, and San Diego. Each celebrity used social media to drum up the votes. The site was built in WordPress with a custom theme that was adaptive for mobile devices, along with a separate custom database for voting. The submission form to collected the data in a mysql database, and later the votes were tallied and the winner was announced.

While at Modern Luxury Wells Fargo wanted to run a campaign much like Verizon’s “Game Changers”. This time the design celebrities used social media to entice users to submit photos of a room in their house that was in need of an “overhaul” to win $2,500 towards a revival project with one of the designers. Again, we built a custom WordPress theme to handle the site, and a custom entry form that users could enter the sweepstakes that was connected to a separate MySql database.
